Later, he received his Master of Social Work Degree (MSW) from the University of Utah in 2009. There he received a certificate in International Emphasis working with refugees from many cultures. He holds the credential of Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Utah.
As a clinician, Joseph has experience working in a community mental health center, an inpatient substance abuse treatment program, and at 3 private practices before starting his own practice in February of 2021 in rural Utah where he was born and raised.
Joseph is a faith-based counselor who acknowledges the important role that faith and spirituality can play in buoying a client’s mental health throughout the healing process. He enjoys working within the truths of how the nervous system operates to help free his clients from the effects of trauma. For this reason, he was beyond excited when he discovered ART through a colleague recommendation in November of 2021.
In addition, Joseph has over 5 years of experience in training and consulting and is excited to use his training experience to share in spreading Accelerated Resolution Therapy. He believes ART will bring about a unique and needed paradigm shift in the entire mental health profession.
